Fair in Rijswijk and meeting new people

Last year I hadn't been able to go to a miniature fair, so I was very glad and excited to go to Rijswijk again yesterday :)

As usual I could get a ride with Jolinda, so time went by very fast while we chatted about mainly miniature things :)
We were very early this time and arrived at nine past nine and while Jolinda went through the back entrance to join the Minidoor team, I got in through the front where I enjoyed my iced coffee and  waited till the fair opened at ten o'clock :)

As soon as I got inside there was a stand from Heidi Ott, which hadn't been there the previous times I went to Rijswijk. And even better, they had dolls and I have been looking for a Heidi Ott doll for the cottage for a few years now. And then I saw this doll and I knew this would be Bianca, the witch living in my Hogmeade cottage with her ten year old daughter!
Later I also bought the 'mirror paper' here.

  

They also had a lot of great wall lamps and chandeliers and since I knew Jolinda wanted to look for those this weekend, I went to Minidoor first to tell about it.
When I showed to doll, Thea gave me some advice about how to make a wig. I've bought some vicose for wigging as well as some fabrics, including a brown one which I hope will make a nice couch for the living room. Also found this beautiful lilac Venne cotton :)

From there I went to Gweaneth's Dream to have a chat with Lousise and admire her gorgeous crochetting. I aslo wanted to take a sneak peak at her latest spooky roombox with special affects.
In the next P&M magazine she will explain how to make this trickery and I'm looking forward to that. It might be very nice the use it in a Harry Potter scene ;)

I saw some gorgeous knitting at Wol wereldje!

At De Poppenkraal I saw this bird cage. You can open and close it and I want to try to fit the tiny owl inside. Not sure if it will end up in the cottage or somewhere else, but I just couldn't resist it (a)

I was shown this great display which has another bird cage and more owl, but the first thing I said was: "Owww, Dobby!"<3 Ghe ghe

On Jeannette & Riana's website I had seen this pottery (wall) plate (?) and I was happy they'd bought it to Rijwijk. Will feature in the cottage.

On top of my list were punches with leaves, but this was the only one I've found :) From Vlinder Koud Porselein.

When I was a teenager making cushions and rugs with something called latch hooking (Smyrna knopen in Dutch) was very hip and happening. I remember making a wall hanging of a sun set with the whole family.
So, I'd like to try make something for the cottage as well. Maybe a cushion or a rug (or both), and maybe I can make my own design. I've bought the needle and canvas at Anja's Handwerkatelier and I can't wait to start ;)

It is always nice to see familiair faces, meet new people, either from (web)shops of from FB groups.
So it was great meeting some ladies from the facebook group Actieve Poppenhuisforum at noon. Enjoyed chatting with Ilona, Inge, Joke, Lenie, Sandra, Wilma (hope I haven't forgotten anybody?).

Sandra and I decided to go back inside together and that was fun. I had already spend most of my budget so it was mostly looking at all the stands and chatting.

At Jolanda's Miniaturen I found another lovely colour of Venne cotton (a)

After we had another drink, we decided to go. Sandra dropped me off at the railway station near The Hague of which I was very grateful since it the journey back would be 2,5 hour anyway :')

AS always after going to a fair I felt like a very happy, exhausted, but grateful person!

Fair in Rijswijk - fall edition :)

Today I went to the fair in Rijswijk again, for the fourth time in a row, and I'd had a wonderful time
Again I could get a ride with Jolinda, and we arrived at a quarter past nine. While Jolinda went through the back entrance to join the Minidoor team, I got in through the front of course and had to wait till the fair opened at ten o'clock.

In the train back I discovered that I'd forgotten to take photo's while at the fair, but I guessed that would have been the seen pictures I showed you in earlier blogs about Rijswijk ^^

Besides looking at all those wonderful miniatures at the fair, it is always great to see familiair faces, met new people, either from (web)shops of from FB groups.
Today I enjoyed meeting Wendy, Stefan, Louise, Georgia, Thea, Anja and many more. And it was great getting to know Esther (All 4 dolls) in person after all the FB messages :)

So, I feel like a very happy, exhausted, but grateful person!

The fair in Rijswijk - part 2

Part 1

When I headed towards Marike (at the fair), I had to make a stop at Stella Que Passa first because I saw those Fimo canes I was curious of. I bought one cane to make slices of lemon, and three for making flowers (I hope ^^). Can't wait to try!
I also found the wood dye I was looking for. Jolinda has the walnut version, so we'd decided that I would buy a lighter dye and we would swap a part so we'll both have two kinds of dye :)

At Marike's I watched her stand for a little while so she could take a break and get some food. She also took the opportunity to visit Georgia and offers her a little break ;) Meanwhile I could sit next to a fabulous house of Poppen(T)huis she had and rest my feet; a win win situation (a)
When Marike came back, I headed towards the entrance hall because it was nearly half past twelve and I would meet Wendy and her mother Ada (from Magical Minds, FB group). It's nice to be able to come across people you only know from the internet, and it was really great to spend some time with them. Wendy and I showed each other lot's of photo's of previously made crafts and I enjoyed the company very much!

The rest of the afternoon I wondered around lots and lots of great stands with beautiful doll's houses and miniatures. I took a some photo's of of the stands but that was obviously only the tip of the iceberg. I met Louise again from Gweaneth's Dream, we talked for awhile and I admired her gorgeous crocheted bedcovers.

My last money I spent on these lovely fabrics from Jan van den Doel. I saw them early on and had to restrain myself quite a bit (a)

One of the fun parts is coming home after a two hour train journey, relax on the sofa and getting all these bags and packages, and re-discover the things you already had forgotten you'd bought :)

 Of course it would be impossible to mention all the things I saw - and there's also a lot I didn't this time - but I hope I gave you all an impression of the awesome day I had.

Gave me lots of inspiration, and motivation, and I'm sure I'll be just as excited when October arrives and the next fair in Rijswijk is getting closer. 

Beurs in Rijswijk / Fair at Rijswijk Oktober 2016

Gisteren ben ik voor de tweede keer naar een poppenhuis-, poppen- en miniaturenbeurs geweest, en net zoals in april weer in Rijswijk.
Dit keer alleen, want Wil was verhinderd. Minder gezellig natuurlijk (vooral de terugreis in de trein ^^), maar in je eentje kun je dan wel enkel kijken waar en hoelang je maar wilt, en eens wat langer kletsen met mensen die je enkel van het internet kent :)
Ik was erg blij dat ik weer met Jolinda mee kon rijden want dat scheelde toch 1,5 uur reizen (vergeleken met de 3 uur in de trein). Daarnaast was het natuurlijk ook comfortabeler en vooral een stuk gezelliger!

Ik was er lekker op tijd dus eerst even langs Minidoor, waar Jolinda dit weekend helpt en ik Thea en Rob even begroette. Dit keer hier niets gekocht omdat ik kortgeleden al een heleboel mooie spullen had besteld ;)

Spookhoekje bij Gweaneth's Dream.

Ook langs de stand gegaan van Gweaneth's Dream waar ik kennis maakte met Louise (van Magical Minds) en de trucage in haar spookhoekje kon bewonderen. Heel gaaf gedaan!

's Middags nog een poosje bij Marike zitten kletsen en eventjes 'geassisteerd', toen ik wel alles gezien had wat ik wilde zien, en gekocht had wat ik kon kopen, en mijn voeten niet meer verder wilden slenteren.
Het was leuk om Babs, en later Dennis, daar te ontmoeten. Allemaal Magical Minds ;)

Natuurlijk zou deze blog niet compleet zijn zonder mijn enthousiame te delen over mijn aankopen (a)

Van Anja's Handwerkatelier.

Superblij met het spinnenwiel dat vast een mooi plaatsje bij een heks gaat krijgen, en met de toverketel (de laatste!!) die wel iets klein is, maar vast van pas gaat komen.

Van My Thai Miniaturen.

Dit keer kon ik de verleiding niet weerstaan om wat broodjes en donuts te kopen. Ook magische mensen moeten eten tenslotte :)

Van Nalladris.

Kofferhoekjes, omdat ik binnenkort een hutkoffer voor Harry en/of Draco wil maken.

Van de Hobbyshop.nl

Een kooi voor m'n uiltje, potjes en pompoenen voor tuintafereeltjes en schelpjes en doodskopjes om de nieuwe doodskistboekenkast mee te vullen.

Van Hobbyboutique Monique.

Eindelijk de gewenste deurbel voor de Verenwinkel gevonden, plus koperen bekers om de verschillende soorten veren in te zetten. En Miss Sophie kan haar zondagse heksenhoed voortaan op een standaard plaatsen.

Van EDEK.

Prachtig dun, soepel leder met een soort slangenprintje. Mooi om bv m'n volgende boekjes mee te kaften.

Van Marike's Magical Miniatures.

Voor het eerst bouwpakketjes van Marike gekocht, ik heb veel zin om daar mee aan de slag te gaan. Natuurlijk bleef het niet bij die aankopen (a)

Van De Poppenkraal.

Echte glazen stopjes! Ik wilde die al een tijdje. Mooi om bv de mini muizenschedeltjes die ik kortgeleden kreeg, onder te plaatsen.

Van Mystical Forrests.

Mystical Forrests stond hoog om het lijstje met stands die ik dit keer iig wilde bezoeken, omdat ik wat mooie toverdrankflesjes wilde kijken. En tja, daar blijft het dan niet bij natuurlijk. Mooie dingen voor een tovenaarsscene en met de wieltjes wil ik eens een steampunkboekje of - hoed proberen te maken.

Verder heb ik nog een houten kijkkastje gekocht bij Tumdee Dolls House Miniature, waar ik het hemelbed een plaatsje in wil geven. En ik heb balsa hout gekocht bij Blikvanger, om me eindelijk eens aan de overstap van kartonnen naar houten meubeltjes te wagen.

Gelukkig is Jolinda zo aardig om die twee aankopen voor me mee terug te nemen in de auto anders zou de terugreis nog zwaarder zijn geweest :)
